Day Trips
The coastline around Oban offers the most amazing range of places to paddle. With options to circumnavigate islands, admire the unique geology of the area, visit castles and look out for wildlife, this area has it all!

Our day trips cater to paddlers of all levels, including complete beginners. The guide will make a decision taking into account your interests, experiences and the conditions on the day.

Each trip we plan will be different, but we do have a few favourites that we think show off the best of the area including the islands of Belnahua, Kerrera and Lismore.

All of our trips include all the paddling equipment and specialist clothing needed to enjoy your day. You will need to bring a change of clothes, lunch, water, snacks and sun-cream!
You can book a mixture of day trips as well as courses and expeditions to make the combination that best suits you.
Some of our favourites
Where we paddle will be based on your experience, aspirations and the weather and tides, but we do have a few favourite places to go!
Belnahua and The Slate Islands
One of our favourite places to paddle is the stunning island of Belnahua. This old slate mining island has spectacular views, stunning blue pools, and heaps of history.
The Isle of Kerrera
The Isle of Kerrera sits opposite Oban and is a classic sea kayak journey for good reasons including the spectacular Gylen Castle and great café. Views over to the surrounding islands and wildlife including seals, otters and eagles, make a paddling trip to Kerrera one to remember.
The islands of Lismore and Shuna
The islands of Lismore and Shuna are favourite paddling destinations, offering stunning views of Loch Linnie, the iconic Castle Stalker, and the surrounding mountains.
